Frédéric Rosseneu
Freshfel Europe
Frédéric Rosseneu is currently policy adviser at Freshfel Europe, the European Fresh Produce Association.
Frédéric closely follows EU legislation and is particularly involved in European food safety policy. He is also the coordinator of the Freshfel food quality and safety working group, a platform discussing the latest industry and legislative developments concerning food quality and safety.
Frédéric has an engineering degree from the University of Ghent in Belgium, and a masters degree in General Management from the Vlerick Management School. He has worked for the Belgian ministry of agriculture, before joining Freshfel Europe in 2006. Frédéric is also secretary-general of EUROPATAT, the European Potato Trade Association.

Daniel Lesinsky is a board member of the Pesticides Action Network (PAN - Europe) since 2006, the main mission of PAN - Europe is to eliminate or minimise negative impacts of pesticides in agriculture and gardening as well as in food production and consumption. PAN - Europe works in different areas; legislation, advocacy, and information, at European as well as at national levels. Daniel is a member of the monitoring committee of Slovak Rural Development Program 2007-2013, distributing subsidies for food production and for agriculture.

Jack Stroeken, general manager of FruitVegetables Agency Holland, took up the post in 2008. A marketing and promotions agency of Dutch trade and produce organisations, FruitVegetables Agency Holland runs various international campaigns and market development projects. Jack studied at Wageningen University before becoming vice-president of Motvivaction International and commercial director of Ouwehand Fish. From 1997-2007 he was managing director and owner of Innovaction, a marketing, branding and innovation agency. Jack is a master marketeer and active in the Dutch and European Marketing Confederation, a frequent speaker on branding, marketing and innovation and is involved in the fair trade programme Branding the South in India.

Nicola Attarzadeh is carbon footprint manager of Footprints 4 Food Ltd., based at Bangor University in Wales, UK. Nicola Joined F4F in 2009 and has since worked with over 100 fresh produce supply chains to analyse their carbon emissions and assess farm greenhouse gas balance. As well as giving talks and training on carbon footprinting, Nicola has been involved in research into carbon footprint methodologies and their implications for developing countries.
Magnús Scheving

Magnús Scheving is a writer, producer, entrepreneur, comedian and a well-known Icelandic athlete. He is best known as the creator and co-star of the children's television show LazyTown, in which he plays the superhero Sportacus. Magnús was born in the capital Reykjavík, but grew up in the small town of Borgarnes. In 1992, he became the Icelandic Men's Individual Champion in aerobic gymnastics. In 1993, he became the Scandinavian champion, and was the European champion twice in 1994 and 1995. He was voted Athlete of the Year by Iceland in 1994. He is the CEO, creator, and co-founder of LazyTown Entertainment, which produces books, videos, games, and sporting goods to help promote fitness and a healthy lifestyle to children.

Luc Peeters is a member of the management team of Mechelse Veilingen and is responsible for external relations, food safety legislation, sustainability and environmental topics. He is also chairman of the COPA-COGECA Phytosanitary Working Group and an active member of several industry working groups and consultation platforms.
Luc has been in the fruit and vegetable sector since 1984, having held several positions in the animal farming industry. For 15 years he has been the general manager of a research and development centre for vegetable crops, where he was responsible for the implementation of a national food safety monitoring system.

With 1,000 member grower companies, a turnover of €1.8bn and 2,500 members of staff, The Greenery is one of Europe's leading cooperatively organised fresh produce companies.

Johan Arne Lindén has been president of Dole Europe, since his nomination in October 2010. He is based in Hamburg, Germany, and has been at Dole for 10 years.
Johan started his career in the fruit industry at AXFOOD Group in Sweden in 1993. He held several positions at this company before joining SABA in Helsingborg, Sweden, in 2000 (Dole was already a majority shareholder of SABA at the time and bought 100 percent of its shares in 2005).
In 2001, only one year after joining SABA, Johan was appointed general manager of Dole Fresh Cuts. Following five successful years in this position he was promoted to head of operations of SABA Frukt & Grönt in 2006. Johan was appointed general manager of Dole Germany in 2008 and consequently relocated to Hamburg, Germany.
Johan has an MBA from the University of Cape Town, as well as a degree from Harvard University.

He joined UNIVEG in 2009 as managing director of UNIVEG Deutschland, based in Bremen, before taking up his current position.

Hidde van der Veer has been unit manager for the Private Sector Investment Programme (PSI) at NL EVD International since October 2009 and has worked in several positions within the Dutch civil service. For 18 years he worked in the foreign service, working at the Dutch embassy in Kiev, Ukraine, and at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. His expertise includes analysis of investment proposals, for commercial financing as well as for grant financing. The PSI plays a prominent role in the fruit sector. Grants for up to EUR 900,000 may be awarded to projects in 47 countries.

Ferrán Cabrera, managing director of Anecoop Praha, a subsidiary of the Anecoop Group, joined Anecoop as operations controller for the Czech Republic and Poland in 1992. Assuming the general management of the subsidiary five years alter, Ferran took responsibility for Anecoop's Eastern European sales unit in 2007, helping launch a new subsidiary in the Russian market, Agrikoop Gruppa Anecoop, in 2009. Boštjan participates in many different fresh produce conferences and fairs in the EU. He is a member of a number of organisations as well as president of the Fruit Association of Slovenia.

Ramon Rey, marketing and international director of Grupo ARC Eurobanan, was elected president of Freshfel Europe in 2008. A graduate in marketing and advertising, Ramon's first experience of the industry came in 1984, when he joined Spanish firm MERCOSA, the first export fresh produce company from Almeria handling strawberries from Huelva. Ramon joined his family business REYPAMA SAT after MERCADISTRIBUCION, part of Grupo Angel Rey. Ramon has also worked as vice-president of CIMO (2001 - 2005); chairman of the import division of FRESHFEL (2002- 2005) and vice-president of FRESHFEL (2005 - 2008). Freshfel Europe, the European Fresh Produce Association, is part of the expert commission of the EU.

A graduate from Kiev State University and the Nyenrode University in The Netherlands, prior to joining Dutch cooperative Rabobank in 2005 Tatiana lived in The Netherlands and worked for a number of financial institutions including ABN AMRO, Fortis, KPMG and FMO, in areas including relationship management, trade finance, risk management and audit. With an international presence in 40 countries and a firm focus on the food and agricultural sector, the AAA credit rated Rabobank plays an important role in the fresh produce world.

His extensive experience with the fresh produce business began in 1993, when he launched his career as an importer and wholesaler.

Markus is a food chemist by training and has a background in both analytical chemistry and food safety. In his current role, he is involved in proposing MRLs for BASF's active ingredients and in the dietary risk assessment of pesticide residues. He also provides scientific and regulatory support for BASF's food chain activities.

Rory Byrne has been chief executive officer of Total Produce, one of Europe's leading fresh produce providers, since 2006. Previously he held the positions of managing director of the Fyffes General Produce Division and executive director of Fyffes.
Rory has extensive experience across the fresh produce sector having joined Fyffes in 1988 and held a number of senior positions within the group including finance director of Fyffes UK business and managing director of its Spanish operations. A non-executive director of the South African company Capespan Group Limited since 2000, Rory also serves as Honorary Consul General of Ireland to Spain.

Herbert Scholdei has been trading overseas fresh fruit and vegetables since 1989, after studying business administration at the University of St Gallen in Switzerland and absolving his training as a bank clerk.
In 1998 he became managing director of Kölla Hamburg Overseas Import, which specialises in importing fresh fruit and vegetables from the southern hemisphere and selling it mainly in Europe.
The office in Hamburg is part of the KÖLLA Group that has nearly 90 years of experience and six offices in three European countries.
