Catrina O'Brien is Turner Entertainment's senior sales manager for all pre-school brands. LazyTown, the only children's entertainment show dedicated to kids' health, is now owned by Turner. Catrina worked with LazyTown for over four years before moving with the brand to Turner. She remains very close to LazyTown, overseeing all of its government, CSR, food and beverage, and fruit and vegetable programmes. LazyTown is a global brand on a mission to move the world by motivating children to make healthier lifestyle choices in both diet and activity. Every episode of LazyTown leads by example as Sportacus, the lead character, consumes fruit and vegetables to get his energy.
Stephan Weist

Stephan Weist is one of the managing directors of Landgard's fruit and vegetables division. Landgard is one of Germany's leading agricultural co-operatives, covering flowers, plants, fruit and vegetables, as well as a broad service portfolio. Stephan joined Landgard in 2010 after a decade at Chiquita. He started in the produce industry in 1984 with the German retailer Rewe, holding different roles, and acting as a strategic purchaser and category manager when he left in 1999.

Ted Ola Stenshed is vice-president for Total Produce Group's Nordic division. The role includes responsibility for convenience and sourcing strategy for the Scandinavian markets. Ted was previously managing director for the Sydgrönt Group, which is Sweden's largest fresh produce cooperative. Before that he was business manager for Dole Fresh Cuts in Sweden, starting there 11 years ago as a project manager for the establishment and construction of the Dole factory in Sweden.

Gustav Gorecki is business development manager of Plantagon International, an urban agriculture specialist that tries to combine commercial and value-based driving forces within one organisation. Since graduating from the Norwegian School of Business in 2001, Gustav has worked as a management consultant, gaining experience in strategy, business and product development. In 2008 he founded the Developers Club, which believes in the effectiveness of 'open innovation', where several stakeholders are involved in the innovation process.

Having graduated from ESSEC business school in Paris, Philippe Henri began his career in 1983 at Procter & Gamble, where he spent six years in sales and marketing. Philippe joined the Creno Group in 1989 as development director, becoming CEO in 1995. With a turnover of €950m, 2,700 employees and 74 distribution platforms, Creno is a leader in the wholesale of fruit and vegetables in France. In addition to his role at Creno, Philippe is a director and board member of UNCGFL, the national union of fruit and vegetable wholesalers, vice president of Freshfel and president of Banque Chaix.

Francis Kint is CEO of Univeg's fruit and vegetable business unit. Prior to joining, Francis worked for Accenture, Sara Lee, Chiquita and Fiskars. He became Chiquita's vice-president for North and Eastern Europe after ten years with the company, joining Univeg in 2009 as managing director of Univeg Deutschland, based in Bremen, before taking up his current position.

Jack Enevoldsen is general manager at Coop Trading, the joint sourcing company for Coop in the Nordic countries. Jack has worked in retail for 20 years, joining the fruit and vegetable business in 2007. He now has worldwide responsibility for sourcing fresh produce imports for Coop stores in Finland, Norway and Denmark, which have a market share of approximately 38 per cent.

Ole Schack Petersen is Damco's head of global reefer logistics. He has held this position since April 2009, prior to which he spent five years as CEO of LCL, overseeing the global expansion and rollout of its reefer logistics activities. Between 1996 and 2003, Ole was J. Lauritzen's regional manager for South America. Before that he initiated the firm's reefer vessel activities in Brazil, where he was general manager.

Claus Meyer is a gastronomic entrepreneur and owner of Meyer Group, which brings together a variety of companies operating in the food business. These include catering firms Meyers Køkken and Meyer Canteens, restaurant-deli chain Meyers Deli, culinary training centre Meyers Madhus and Fruit from Lilleø, an orchard on the south-eastern Danish island of Lilleø which produces apples, pears and plums that are marketed through KC Frugt. Meyer is arguably most famous for being co-owner of Copenhagen restaurant Noma, the only such establishment in Denmark with two Michelin stars and voted the world's best restaurant in 2010 and 2011. At FRESH Nordic, Meyer will talk about the development of the New Nordic Cuisine movement, in which he has played a central part, as well as his own approach to food culture and the fresh produce business in particular.

Professor Lars Ove Dragsted

Lars Ove Dragsted is a professor of biomedicine at the Department of Human Nutrition within the Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen. He has been involved in health research related to fruit and its constituents for more than 20 years, publishing numerous scientific papers in the field, leading a large Danish project in this area from 1994 to 1998 and serving on the board of several European projects between 1998 and 2010. In the large EU-funded, integrated project Isafruit he coordinated the health research activities and was involved in conducting several human studies with whole and processed fruit in order to investigate their health effects. Recently, several projects related to local, sustainable diets rich in fruit have been on his agenda, including two large projects, Opus and Sysdiet, on the health effects of Nordic foods, including Nordic fruit and berries.
Mette Helbæk
Din Baghave (Denmark)
Mette Helbæk is founder and owner of the Copenhagen-based vegetable shop Din Baghave ('Your Backyard') and the restaurant Køkkenet i Din Baghave ('The Kitchen in Your Backyard'). The prize-winning concept behind Din Baghave is to sell fruit, vegetables, wild herbs, mushrooms from the forest and other kinds of fresh produce straight from local farmers and foragers. Mette has a master's in communication and used to be editor-in-chief of the Danish restaurant guide Spiseliv. She writes about food in Danish and international magazines and newspapers.

Sven-Åke Nordqvist runs his own consultancy company and is on the board of KRAV, a key player in the Swedish organics market. He previously spent eight years in the Netherlands, where he was responsible for the joint sourcing of perishables for Ahold's subsidiaries and joint ventures across Europe. Before that Sven held leading positions in Swedish wholesale and retail companies including Saba Trading, Coop, Viking Fruit and ICA.

Lars Åström is president and CEO of STC Greenfood, the biggest independent fresh produce company in Scandinavia. STC's group of companies includes Allfukt, Ewerman, Hembergs, Satotukko, Salico, Örebro Trädgårdshall and Växjö Parti. Lars was previously a member of ICA Sweden's management team, with responsibility for fresh produce. He has a deep knowledge of fresh retailing and the relationship between retailers and fruit and vegetable producers.

Wim Zomer is a food processing consultant specialising in fresh-cut vegetables. Previously the managing director of one of the largest fresh processing companies in the Netherlands, he was partly responsible for expanding it to 600 people. Since 2007 he has been active as a consultant in northern and eastern Europe, advising companies who have new start-ups or seek improvements in current operations. His consultancy covers all business processes - from field to fork.

Daniel Kretzschmar is the produce chain manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Nunhems, the vegetable seed business of Bayer CropScience. Daniel has spent his whole career in development, sales and marketing roles at major companies of the vegetable seed industry, joining Nunhems in 1998 as crop sales manager and country head for France. Daniel and his current team gather information about the needs of the produce chain and use it to steer breeding, develop innovative products and facilitate the right contact between producers and the chain.
